Biography
Born and raised on a small dairy farm in north-central Wisconsin. B.S., M.S. and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Joined the UC Davis Department of Agronomy in 1964. Developed and taught several upper-division undergraduate courses including "Forage Crop Ecology and Management" and "Annual Grassland Ecology". Conducted research, outreach, and teaching in cooperation with the Department of Animal Science at the SFREC until retirement in 1993. Still active, however.
