A parasitic wasp has been the major means of suppressing brown-banded cockroaches in large research buildings in Berkeley.

Parasites were obtained from Hawaii by Dr. K. S. Hagen and cleared through quarantine by Frank E. Skinner, both with the Division of Biological Control, University of California, Berkeley.
